"A housekeeper tried to enter the room while we were changing because they didn't realize anyone had been checked into the room yet. Then we were woken up at 12:30 by the room filling with overwhelming skunk smell from the ac unit."

"The location of Sheraton Fallsview Hotel is excellent, especially if you want to be close to Clifton Hill. However, the overall experience was quite inconvenient. Parking is a major issue. Valet parking requires a lot of waiting whenever you need your car, and self-parking has very limited availability—especially on weekends. You need a lot of patience either way. We also had trouble with our room key. It stopped working at 10:30 a.m., even though checkout is at 11:00 a.m. We had to go down to the lobby to reactivate it, which was frustrating due to long elevator wait times (over 2 minutes each trip). The first attempt didn’t even work, and the whole process took more than 35 minutes—just to get back into the room, grab our belongings, and check out. Overall, the experience left a negative impression. The only real advantage is the location. There are many better hotel options around Clifton Hill. If being right next to Clifton Hill is not essential for you, you can find much better hotels at lower prices."

"Location was great, right on subway and streetcar lines with direct access to The Path. Loved the historic lobby area and the attached coffee shop was great (try the almond croissant). Only minor issue was that the room temperature was a little warm and the A/C system didn’t seem to be strong enough to keep up, although surprisingly we were able to open a small window in the room and that helped a lot over night when the temperature outside dropped (not sure what it would be like in the sweltering summer months though). We were also offered early check-in (like 5 hours early) for what we felt was a very reasonable fee. Overall I would stay here again in a minute, especially in the cooler months."

"I recently stayed here and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. It would have been appreciated if we were informed at check-in that there was no functioning air conditioning. No one mentioned anything until the next day, when we were told to turn off the unit because it was blowing hot air. We spent the entire first night unable to sleep, as the room felt close to 40°C. When we went to the front desk, the staff member did not mention any known issue and said maintenance would be sent, but there was no follow-up. Later, another staff member informed us the rooms did not have working AC due to maintenance issues. She was polite and arranged for maintenance. Maintenance explained the situation, turned off the system, opened the balcony for airflow, and suggested a fan. While helpful, it wasn’t a real solution, and we had another sleepless night due to the heat. Breakfast was also underwhelming. We arrived after the rush but still waited to be seated, and were only offered drinks at the end due to understaffing. We couldn’t switch hotels due to meetings we had, but had we known about the AC issue, we would have stayed elsewhere. Communication is key. Overall, very frustrating for the price paid and resulted in some of the worst sleep."

"Earlier check in time by an hour without extra charge would be good idea for those that may want to go to the baseball game. Found a coffee cream packet under bed and piece of toilet paper hanging from sprinkler, so more attention to cleaning detail is needed."
