The Langham, Melbourne

8/10 Good

"Selected the Langham for the location and onsite spa. It’s in walking distance to major attractions, the CBD and a central metro station. The onsite spa was nice, but a bit overpriced. The pool and jacuzzi were a nice perk with a panoramic view of the skyline. The decor is a bit dated, but it was a comfortable 2 night stay."

"This hotel really does need to upgrade the rooms. Nice having a bath and shower but to climb over the edge of the bath to get to the shower was a bit of a stretch. Trying to get the water temperature in the shower and not burn or freeze was a challenge. The bath was old with cracks and discolouration. Was missed on housekeeping keeping for two days but they entered at 8.30pm to ask if I needed anything replacing. The first day I got housekeeping the doors in the kitchen area were left open and towels placed on the occasional table. The bed was comfy and clean. No sockets by the headboard necessitated buying an extension cord."

"Room very clean and comfortable. Staff very courteous and helpful! Breakfast room always busy. Did not use parking. Hotel room very clean and comfortable! Staff at breakfast very nice. Breakfast food (eggs) not always hot. Coffee was NOT good - maybe the equipment needs cleaning OR hotel should purchase a coffee machine or two so guests can just press a button for the type of coffee they require. Thank you, Fadia"

"We had a lovely 1 bedroom suite, it was well laid out and comfortable. We ran out of tea bags but reception staff quickly replaced them when asked. The location close for trams and the river. We went swimming and found you couldn't get into the shower cubicle and close the glass door! So you had to change in either the toilet or hope nobody came into the area. Laundry was clean and functional. Apart from that we would recommend it."
