"Staff went above and beyond to make our experience memorable and comfortable. Giving us time and space but also available when needed. We incorporated dinner and breakfast which I highly recommend. Such a unique experience to stay in a matchiya. The place was absolutely stunning. "

"We stayed in Tokyo and Osaka prior to our stay here in Kyoto at Maeniiya Machiya Inn. Maeniiya Machiya Inn is a definite great place to stay and close to everything. Akemi (property owner) is a wealth of knowledge and gave a lot of tips and recommendations. Be sure to visit Sukemasa for dinner if you like Gyoza. It is very close and yummy for 1000yen! "とても素敵な京町家でした。0才児を連れていたのですが、とても快適に過ごすことができました。 12月半ばの滞在でした。部屋が全て繋がっているので、暖まりにくいことも覚悟していましたが、エアコンやコタツのおかげで、温かく過ごすことができました。ただ、キッチンの床とお風呂の床だけはとても冷たく、特にお風呂場は気合いが必要です… それでもぜひまたお世話になりたい、素敵なお宿でした。"

Best place for solo female traveller

"Best place for solo female traveller to stay if u wanna go around gion-uji-biwa area. It’s located infront of main road and it’s easy to spot the hotel. It’s also easy to bring your luggage from sanjo station. The room space is spacious and i really wanted to extend my stay for one day but i have other plans."
