Top Durham Hotel Reviews

Honest Lawyer Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"The property is nice, comfortable, and well-maintained, making it a good option for a short stay in Durham. The room was clean, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming. One thing to keep in mind is the location. If you plan to visit Durham city centre frequently, Uber fares can be around £15 each way, so it is worth factoring this into your budget. The hotel is a good choice if you have your own transport or don't mind spending a little extra on getting around."

Delta Hotels Durham Royal County

8/10 Good

"Room was small but had everything we needed. There was, however one flickering ceiling light and some dust on the bed frame. I noticed the mattress was covered with a duvet or mattress cover and wondered why?! Unfortunately, the bad night’s sleep and back ache that ensued was due to a very worn and uncomfy mattress. Breakfast was good, staff very polite and helpful. Parking was easy and £11 extra on your stay"

The Old Mill

8/10 Good

"Lovely clean room, comfy bed, super shower. Well stocked hospitality tray and daily servicing. Staff friendly, helpful and efficient. We didn't personally use the bar, drinks were served to us by waiting staff. Breakfast felt a little rushed, as if the staff wanted to get it cleared away asap. Sausages tasted and looked as if they'd been reheated from earlier. Dinners were very nice apart from chips which I was served but were inedible, they were soft and soggy (very greasy). I mentioned it to the waitress who apologised and said that she would tell the chef. Sunday roast was delicious, like home cooking. 4 out of 5 on food. Plenty of free parking which was a definite plus."
