"Working in Belfast for a few days, decided to travel outside for accommodation. Found the hotel online. Read a few reviews and decided to book. 1st person I encountered was Lisa, who booked me in and gave me my key. Went up to room, very clean and airy. Ate on the restaurant had chicken wings starter and smoked cod for main. Food was excellent, staff were very polite and courteous. After dinner had a walk aroind the quay, met a few locals who were very friendly. Going back in August for a weeks work. Will definitely be booking the hotel again."

"Truly an exceptional hotel. I grew up in the area and it has continued its history of providing an experience that excels (locals just call it “The Slieve”). The amenities are fantastic with the spa facilities, snooker room, drawing room for a peaceful morning. Breakfast in the main dining area with views of the Mounre Mountains is an experience itself. We hosted a family dinner in JJ Farrell’s food and service exceptional"

"A lovely stay, a warm welcome and smooth checkin. An extensive breakfast menu. I had a freshly prepared Ulster Fry and a very tasty omelette in the end ..... it was tricky to choose! We were weekend stayers, so being so close to the shore and it's wonderful coastal path as well as it being only a short stroll into Bangor for the best bars with wonderful live music. Perfect "

"Incredible hospitality! We were staying for a friends wedding at the venue and the team could not do enough for you. We arrived early morning and asked if we could leave our cases whilst we headed into Bangor - within seconds the receptionist and housekeeping manager were scouting out which rooms were readily available - we were given an upgraded room and able to check in immediately. On our first morning of breakfast, my partner asked the waiting staff if it would be possible to get some avocado with his haddock & eggs, he was told unfortunately it's not something they have in stock as it isn't in any of their menu items. Lo and behold, the next morning we sit down for breakfast and the waiter has been and purchased an avocado just for my partner! Our only downside to the hotel was the lack of air conditioning in the bedroom which made for an uncomfortable sleep during a heatwave. Other than this, the hotel was PERFECT and I would recommend to absolutely everybody."
