"Stayed here for two nights. The room was clean and spacious. Good facilities in room but it was incredibly hot during our visit so a fridge in room would have improved our stay as no air conditioning but not many days in England you would need it. Breakfast was lovely, small but everything you could want. Evening menu was a bit limited and I probably would go somewhere else for an evening meal. The staff were all excellent, friendly and helpful."

"What a wonderful stay, we were upgraded to a deluxe room for my husbands 40th without us even asking so that was a lush surprise and very welcome. The staff everywhere were all really attentive and informative. We only had breakfast here but it was absolutely delicious, I would 100% recommend and visit again."

Extractor fan in the bathroom didn’t work, towels are quite old, Check your dinner bill, we had 3 bottles of wine added to the bill but we’d only had 1 £25 bottle. "Everything about this place is FANTASTIC - the location, the staff, the rooms, etc. I wish that all the places I've stayed in as I've traveled around England were as nice as this place! Definitely worth a stay if you're going to Gloucester."

"Under new group and nothing like when it was a Best Western. The Spa pool was still out of order. We were there in October and it was broken. There was not the warm and friendly feel we’ve received for the last six years. It was very false. I’m not worried about fresh linen in my room, totally agree with only on request, but a clean cup and glass and tea etc being replenished would have been very welcomed. Not the same hotel and won’t be returning."

The room we had was exceptional and came with a small garden which again was heaven for the dog. The stay in a place like this is always about the staff though, who were great.
