"The selection for their morning breakfast buffet is very varied. The staff is busy during rush hour; they seem overwhelmed at times. Their housekeeping standards cannot match those of their properties in Hong Kong or mainland China. The Chinese restaurant Shang Gong is one of the best in the country, and its staff is very attentive and courteous. "

It was a nice place to start but on our return we had a very smelly room which stank of stale smoke even though it was a non smoking room. We asked it to be fixed which it was not. The reception stuff were not as friendly compared to staff at other hotels in sri lanka and generally sri lankan people."

"What I liked the most was the view from room. The hotel needs a good renovation. Loved the decore in the room. Needs to be more generous with the towels etc. always some towel is missing. As for the food it was good but all the sambals need attention. The chefs need to learn how to make a good lunumiris, seen sambal etc. Wattalappan fantastic. Oat porridge not ok. Fruit selection ok but no mango. How about some original sinhalese sweets. Kevun, thalaguli, arsmi, kokis kaludodol?"

"Das Hotel hat schon bessere Zeiten gesehen! Schimmel im Zimmer, Klimaanlage funktioniert nur bedingt- Luft kam aber keine Kühlung. Wasserabfluss ging nur sehr langsam und das Wasser stand regelmäßig im Waschbecken und nach dem Duschen am Boden. Vorhänge zerrissen und Teppich sehr verschlissen. Wegen mangelnder Klimatisierung sehr hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit im Zimmer, was Handys am Laden hinderte! Das Personal war sehr bemüht und immer freundlich, auch wenn niemand auf meine Mail mit der Bitte...
