"One of the worst hospitality service ever. Won't get a towel, bedsheet or toiletries. No cleanliness and smelly dusty rooms. No room service. Swimming pool with decayed leaves and house full of mosquitoes. Broken room locks and the bonus is you won't get water in toilet. Needless to say a poor management by owner and totally irresponsible behaviour. Please don't waste your money by looking at beautiful pics of the villa. Save your money for better stay. "Worst stay ever - DON'T GO THERE! The place is a mess. So dirty everywhere. On top of a cabin we found a thick layer of dust and a condom package, cables were hanging out of the walls, probably blood on a pillow (so disgusting) and the pool water was so dull that we wouldn't let our kids swim in it. "We had a lovely stay at Granbell Hotel Colombo. It closed out our two week stay in Sri Lanka, and was one of our highlights. The hotel itself is modern, comfortable and well located. The rooms are incredibly well suited for couples - perfectly sized and with an amazing view (if you are debating, upgrade to a sea view)! My only complaint is that the menu prices exclude VAT, and you are unaware of this until you receive your first bill! It means that the hotel is unfortunately very unreasonable for food and drink for Sri Lanka - but there are plenty of eating options in Colombo."
