"The resort was lovely, with a large variety of options for eating. Our butler Carlos was amazing, and made our stay so much smoother and more enjoyable. The beach was lovely, but I do recommend water shoes, because there are some random rocks and such under the water. We had an issue with our room, but our butler Carlos, the maintenance staff, and the rest of the staff were attentive worked in a timely fashion for a solution. The staff were friendly and helpful and we really enjoyed our stay. "

"The hotel itself was very nice, but the biggest problem during our stay was the staff and the constant marketing. At almost every corner we were approached by someone trying to sell us upgrades or “exclusive promotions,” many of which we had already heard earlier in the day. It quickly became overwhelming and made it hard to relax and actually enjoy the vacation. We were also pressured into attending a breakfast in order to receive a Prestige upgrade. During that meeting, our “concierge” repeatedly pushed us and even mentioned he needed us to complete the breakfast because his boss had moved him into marketing. The whole interaction felt uncomfortable and more like a sales pitch than hospitality. Another issue that bothered me was how some staff treated guests who spoke Spanish. Instead of feeling welcomed, I often felt spoken to in a rude or dismissive way. At the same time, when they tried to communicate with my boyfriend in English, he often had to ask multiple times to understand what they were trying to say. Right before we left, we were approached again and encouraged to buy another $1,400 trip to use within 18 months. The associate directed the entire pitch to my boyfriend. When I said no, she responded, “What, are you the boss?” which felt unprofessional and disrespectful. I hope management addresses the aggressive marketing and staff training, because it takes away from what could otherwise be a relaxing stay Alejandra (in dining manager) and Marcos were GREAT. "

"Overall our stay was okay, nothing was terribly wrong with our stay but it was by no means an elevated experience. We opted for the platinum family suite with a swim-out room for our family. Upon arrival we checked in through the platinum lounge which was nice and quick, although we were informed our room was not ready even though it was after check in time and were advised just to come back in an hour. Nothing was explained at check in about where to eat or what to do and there was no information in the room so it was left to us to wander around trying to figure things out. There is no real additional perks for paying for platinum level so I would advise against that, service around around the pools was very slow and it was quicker just to get drinks yourself even if that meant standing in line for half an hour. There are no designated platinum areas around the pool so if you don’t go first thing in the morning to leave a towel or personal items you won’t get a spot. The lunch spot had a nice variety but there wasn’t anywhere to just get easy snacks to have around the pool, you had to go to a specific building and again wait in lineups. In the platinum lounge you could get better liquor but they had no mix so again you had to go get a glass of whatever liquor you wanted then go wait in the bar line to add any mixes or ice you needed. If you don’t make reservations "

"Excellent resort, very clean - bleaching the pool deck daily, amazing food and no reservations required for à la carte which removes the stress of lining up to book dinner. Highly recommend for families! Sargassum was loaded on the beach and they try their best to remove it daily. "
