"We had an amazing weekend for our anniversary! From the moment of booking I had great communication with the owners who were very responsive and accommodating. Our cottage was very comfy, cosy and clean. The facilities are amazing with dog paddocks, entertainments (pool table, football table, table tennis, board games, a great wide selection of dvds for the whole family, a kids corner with toys and books). "The park itself was fun , but our room & breakfast experience fell short. Room felt dusty, hair in the bath & cobwebs between the fridge & the unit. Very disappointing breakfast, we were immediately told there were no pastries, ( full English breakfast was available) my tea came with long life milk & when I asked for fresh , I was told there wasn’t enough as it was being kept for cereal. Only white toast available with butter completely melted. The cereal took a long time & I had to ask twice. When it finally arrived, it came with a half cup of milk I was told there was very little due to no delivery. We were so disappointed that the following morning we decided to skip breakfast at Gulliver Kingdom and went somewhere nearby instead."

"A really great traditional inn, great food, brilliant atmosphere and the staff couldn't be more helpful. The bonus of a private car park in Bakewell is a pearl beyond price, as parking, especially on market days is at a premium. I would have given the max stars had the room, which was OK had not been a little small ( it was named BAKEWELL). There you go."

"A lovely place to stay and we were in a quirky ground floor room in the old stable block which was very nice although susceptible to noise from adjoining rooms. The grounds are lovely to relax in and the food was very good (although avoid the poor, undercooked apple pie). Good breakfast. Three minor criticisms. There was no sink plug, there was no shelf in the bathroom to put your own toiletries on (we had to use the top of the radiator) and, like many hotels, in a double room there was only one chair !! However we will definitely stay there again and would recommend it to anyone."

"Lovely hotel, fantastic location. Well decorated, comfy twin room but disappointingly, in the annex. Not in the main hotel. IMO, on the expensive side. £500 2 x nights, especially as it was 'room only'. Also, hardly any parking on site. Forced to park in public car park.My fault. Should have paid more attention when booking."
