"This isn't your run-of-the-mill hotel chain, here you get very nice and quirky apartments with good facilities. Location is top notch in the middle of the Peak District. Hosts are friendly and helpful. Two words of caution: 1) remember to bring your own bath towels! Otherwise you will be charged per set for renting these separately. 2) remember to bring plenty of pound coins for the electricity meter! :)"

"The place was in excellent location, the stay was clean and tidy with all supplies you need kept ready. The hosts Andrew and Lucy are incredible, supportive and very friendly. They are great hosts. There's an Aldi just about 2miles from the stay too. The rooms are big and kept very clean. The kitchen and lounge is very big too, we loved the place so much that we didn't feel like coming back. The kids said that too."

Milford House

Milford House
Buxton
"We have just returned home after a 2 week stay at Milford House which we highly recommend. The house is clean, spacious and comfortable and everything we could have possibly needed was provided, including a washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher. The house is in a convenient location, only a minute or two's walk from the centre of the village. A particular highlight was the bedroom in the roof and the sounds of the sheep and cows in the fields nearby! We enjoyed staying in Tideswell...

"The reception staff were very friendly and helpful when asking for additional pillows ( only 1 pp provided). The breakfast was good and tasty and plenty of attentive staff if needed. The hotel rooms however are very tired with very poor decor standards. Tiles in the bathroom were miss-matched and grubby and flooring lifting in places. Was surprised to have to pay ยฃ5 to park the car as a resident though"

The Blind Bull

The Blind Bull

10/10 Excellent
"If you need a couple of nights away in the Peak District, The Blind Bull is a great getaway. Most of the rooms are in a building a mere 25 paces from the door of the bar! For dog owners choose one of the โ€˜pigโ€™ rooms as there is a little gravel garden. The owners have thoughtfully provided a little bin outside for any bags. We ate both nights at the pub and you can see why the place is highly rated. It is so much more than โ€˜pubโ€™ food. A lovely crafted menu and a great wine list. Breakfast is excellent with quality over quantity. Top tip is to make a booking for a table as the place gets really busy. All the staff we came across were polite friendly and knowledgeable. Special thanks to Brooke, Jane Bond and David the manager."
