"We really enjoyed our stay here and was a highlight of our trip! The surrounding area is beautiful, the hotel itself is gorgeous, and the staff were all incredibly helpful and kind. "
"Traditional Japanese hospitality in a lovely setting. The hotel was very simple to reach and the staff was super accommodating to make my stay comfortable and delightful. The meals are a real luxury and served with a full explanation and always a smile! "
"Pros: beautiful grounds and rooms. Hot spring inside your room was a plus, the heated pool was amazing. Free shuttle to nearby station
Cons: far from everything so buy all the food and things you need before going to the hotel.

"Excellent location. Rooftop terrace very good. I am too old to get up from futon and also would liked a chair in bedroom. Gora is best place if you have only limited time in Hakone and the property is only a very short walk to transport."
"The futon’s aren’t very thick so it can be a bit uncomfortable if you’re a side sleeper. Other than that our stay was great. The owner, Yudai, is incredible and has an excellent sense of hospitality. When I come to Hakone again this place will be at the top of my list. "
"The amenities and rooms were very clean, staff were all very friendly and helpful. The overall ambience gave a traditional Japanese vibe but with a modern touch."
"Great dinner and excellent breakfast (both at pre-scheduled times). One hour reservation for private use of onsen in the evening and unrestricted gender specific communal use of onsen in the morning."
"Gorgeous! So serene and feels rural even though its steps from the cable car stop. The room was really large, and of course the main attraction is the private on-porch onsen. I made the most of the hot spring, and I couldn’t get over the view from the dining room! Great place to unwind for 1-2 days on your trip, just like a spa—hang out in the onsen, enjoy the multi-course meals, and if you do feel like leaving, walk a few steps down the road to the Hakone ropeway and see if you can get a...
"This is a beautiful condo. There was everything we needed to be comfortable. The staff were wonderful and friendly. The onsen was amazing. I wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend "
"Hot spring in the room was a bit dirty and the yukata clothes were a little dirty. Towels had a certain smell to them too. There are 3 private onsen rooms too, but you have to wait for a while because there is no time limit. Dinner and breakfast were included and delicious. Also had a bunch of other food amenities like yogurt (?), fish grill, and ramen, but I did not get to try."

"Everybody was extremely warm and welcoming! We loved our time here, as fantastic as the area is, the staff were even more caring and brought a very relaxing feeling to our stay here. We look forward to returning one day!!"
"The place felt like a dream! From the outfit you wear throughout your stay to the hot springs outside that made you feel free. The staff was incredibly friendly and I’d recommend it for anyone."
"Everything was satisfying but I must say that the breakfast buffet was exceptionally great. We were a party of 8 with 4 kids. The restaurant prepared a space for all of us sitting together. "
