"Beautiful onsen, very hiddrn and quiet. Seems like an authentic Japan experience for foreign travelers. Wonderful private hot spring baths. Choice of western or Japanese slerping arrangements. Ie. Beds or futon mats on real tatami floors. The dinner and breakfast alone are worth the stay. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Especially when navigating cultural differences. "

"Its a little bit of a hike going to the inn so be aware not to bring big luggages. I did read the previous review and had only my overnight bag and that helps a lot. The inn itself is pretty clean, the staff were accomodating and I was able to book the private onsen. Its a nice place to relax after a long day of walking around hakone"

"We loved the onsen experience. We had never done it before and they had a “lesson” for onsen etiquette which was helpful. It was very clean and relaxing. It was nice to have a free ice cream every day after bathing at the onsen, and fun to walk around the property in our hotel robes. The only issue we had was 2 little kids running around and talking loudly in the onsen bath area which was disruptive, but not the hotel’s fault. "

"Spacious and beautiful views of the surrounding hills. Only downside is that there are no food places within walking distances, but was able to take the train to nearby places."

"Our favorite stop by far. The kids adored the place and the owners, it’s like staying with loving grandparents. A very traditional, authentic Japanese household with natural hot springs, and traditional bath robes provided. The fixtures are in their original state, they reflect the history of a family that have shared their way of life with wondering guests throughout the years. The breakfast was very traditional and generous, we enjoyed it with green tea and sitting on the floor with low table....

"Più che un ostello un hotel vero e proprio con tutti i servizi annessi. La nostra camera era spaziosa (considerando il Giappone) e con servizi. Onsen molto bello, inoltre è una struttura tattoo friendly! Colazione ottima, abbiamo anche cenato, cena ok. Posizione strategica ad 1 minuto (tramite sottopasso con una 15ina di gradini) dalla stazione di Gora."

"Simply amazing experience - kind and friendly staff; delicious snacks/drinks; to-dream-of kind of breakfast; and hot spring baths (in-room, private, AND shared/sauna); selection of yukata; amenities just 5 out of 5. Did not feel like leaving and a huge thank you to the staff - made us feel very welcome and the entire experience completely surpassed my expectations."

"Beautiful hotel, but it was a bit of a walk from the bus station if you’re going into Hakone. Be sure to call the hotel to have a shuttle pick you up from the nearest shuttle stop, which is down the hill from the property. Stuff that was super nice although they didn’t know too much about the tourist bus lines-recommend getting a hug Kone 1 to 3 day pass if you’re staying longer. "チェックイン時のフロントの対応はイマイチでした。（バイトさんでしょうか…。）客室も綺麗で良かったですが、89歳の父いわく「手すりが無い」のが気になったそうです。部屋の手拭き紙は紙を詰めすぎて取りずらい。（これはお客様目線ではないかな〜、残念です。）ご飯時のスタッフさんは、目配り、気配りが出来ていて、気持ちの良い接客でした。部屋の露天風呂も大きくて快適。大浴場も混み合う事がなく、のんびり入れました。夕食、朝食共に、ボリュームがあり美味しく、満腹でした！夕食時の飲み物はフリードリンクだったので、お酒も沢山いただきましたし、ロビーに設置してあるドリンク類も飲み放題で、嬉しかったです。大浴場横のアイスキャンディーのサービスも孫は大喜びで、私たちもいただきました。美味しかったです。あ、女性用の浴衣Ｍサイズが足りなくて、Ｌサイズでしたのでブカブカだったのはざんねんかな。相対的に…息子夫婦は大満足で、また利用したい、と言っています。楽しい旅行になりました。ありがとうございました♪"
