"The room was decorated very nicely with quite a decent amount of space. They would give free soba noodles from 9:30-11:00pm and free drinks,soda and coffee. The onsen was very crowded with people. You could get complimentary ice cream at night and Yakut in the morning. Also, parking was relatively limited"

"The futon’s aren’t very thick so it can be a bit uncomfortable if you’re a side sleeper. Other than that our stay was great. The owner, Yudai, is incredible and has an excellent sense of hospitality. When I come to Hakone again this place will be at the top of my list. "

"This was a unique and wonderful experience. We had never experienced a ryokan, but we enjoyed it for a night. Room gives a Zen vibe, and once we got the AC going, the heat was tolerable. But the rest of the hotel was quite warm! Dinner was fun, elaborate. Glad we wore the provided robes because no one was in street clothes. We rented the private spa, and that was relaxing. Keep in mind there is no shower in your room. Also, there are few amenities in this town, so plan ahead if you require...

"Such a relaxing experience! Rooms were clean and spacious. Beds were super comfy! Had to pay for breakfast buffet but it’s okay because it was worth it in my opinion. We had a private onsen with a beautiful view of the rivers and the mountains. The staff were incredible as well. Oh! And they provided shuttle buses to and from Odawara station. You also have the option to use their shuttle service to and from Gora station which was super convenient. I wish we stayed longer tbh! Highly recommend!"

"Die Lage "im Wald" ist toll, man ist fast wie selbst draussen im Wald! Die Bauweise ist mit viel sichtbarem Holz und in klaren Linien gehalten. Das weitgehend verglaste Restaurant ist beeindruckend gestaltet und man hat direkten Blick auf die Küche. Das abendliche Menü war jeweils ausgezeichnet! Michelin-würdig! weiter sehr schön waren allgemein verfügbare Aufenthaltsräume inkl. sogar gratis-Getränken. Das Zimmer war von der Grösse und Funktionalität sehr gut. Das Bad erschien uns eher klein...

"朝食ビュッフェは和食メニューはほぼなかったのですが、新鮮で美味しい野菜が豊富でした。お塩やオリーブオイル数種類あり色々試せました。メニューの種類はオーソドックスな洋食メニューが中心で一つ一つクオリティーがたかかったです。カレーがあったのですが濃厚で美味しくまた食べたいです。スタッフの方は外国人もいらして皆さん丁寧な日本語と接客、温かい笑顔が印象的でした。夕食も季節の食材を使ったお料理が美しく盛り付けられ、最後のデザートまで心も舌も大満足でした。 "

"This is a great place for a weekend get away. Everything in the town closes at 5 so be mindful of that when visiting the town. Food is very good and highly suggest trying the Japanese style breakfast at least once. It was a very neat experience. Traditional breakfast was very basic. "
