"Excellent stay, quiet room and good food. I suggest staying in the main building, as the annexe is far from everything, and the path between the annexe and the main building can get slippery on rainy days (and it rains a lot in England). The wine list and beer selection need improvement."

"We have stayed here four or five times now and always such a nice base to visit family close by. Always a warm welcome and great breakfast to start the day. Warm room and comfortable bed. Shared bathroom is kept very clean. Free parking is a bonus."

"I have stayed before on many occasions, although no staff to greet you now, the lock boxes for room keys works effectively. Staff are super lovely, very accommodating. "Manager is very helpful and a kind person. I stayed for four nights. The price is reasonable, and the rooms are clean. Wi-Fi is very good. The room size is decent . One mile from Watford junction station. Takes fifteen minutes by walk to reach the station . I avoided uber as i preferred walking . There is also a Sainsbury supermarket within ten minutes walk. Safe location and no empty eerie roads . I am ok with the facility."
