"Or hostess, Marg, was so friendly and helpful and made delicious breakfasts for us. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch of this lovely property during the early morning and evenings. We were visiting while biking the lovely root river trail in the area. It was nice to be able to store our bikes in the garage at the end of each day. Our accommodations were clean and comfortable, and the skylights were a bonus. We hope to visit again."

"Loved staying in the proprietor’s house! Beautiful and very clean! The bike shed was also nice to keep our bikes locked up. We didn’t care for the plastic pillow coverings on the bed because they were not very comfortable to sleep on. We would recommend Green Gables as a great place to stay!"

"This a pretty good hotel for the price. You get what you pay for. This is a fairly new hotel so it isn’t run down. Everything is small and condensed and cheap-but new and again, consider the price. The bed was quite comfortable, and they offer queens when some hotels only offer full. And a lot of people have their dogs and the rooms smell like dog-which many economy hotels do now. The breakfast has no hot food: Bagels, packaged muffins, packaged oatmeal, cereal, boiled eggs, yogurt machine."

"Continental breakfast is a pop tart, instant oatmeal, banana, orange, pudding, mac and cheese packet, and coffee. Juice machine was broken. Locked out of the building because room key did not work at the door after hours. Manager was upset for waking him up to open the door. Customer service was poor. Had to prove I needed the receipt from THEM because I booked through Expedia even though I paid at check-in. The manager actually argued the point and then "found" the receipt. Never again."

"The location is perfect for our one night stay. It was clean and welcoming with a great breakfast. The front desk helped me a couple of times with extra towels etc."

"Superb location for our event at the olmsted county fairgrounds. Easy, convenient parking. Nice access to dining. Clean property, spacious room. The complimentary breakfast had a nice offering of both hot and cold items, and the staff were kind and helpful. Definitely recommend."
