"Clean, newly-furnished rooms. Bathroom amenities work perfectly. Staff was very polite and helpful, especially with services like holding luggage. Great location from Convention Center and downtown SJ (walkable in 5-10 mins and right by coffeeshop). Perfect stay for convention goers. "

"Reserved and paid 2 months in advance. Arrive for check in and the parking lot was empty and there was a handwritten "closed for business" sign. Attempted to contact the property of course were unsuccessful. No notice, no refund. Further research showed the property was actually sold last year to the city and is no longer a hotel. Not sure why I was allowed to make a reservation in the 1st place."
