"A great place to stay in the Santa Cruz mountains. A little tricky to find and get to with winding mountain roads and no signs but that is part of getting away from everything and hanging with the chicks and ducks and geese all a-clucking. Fully stocked bar and kitchen made it so easy to just have fun. The dozens of huge koi fish will practically climb out of the pond when you start feeding them, and the chickens seemed to like Fritos. "The property is very old. The doors and windows have lots of open crevices so bugs can easily come inside. There were tons of spiders actively around the home along with crazy looking centipedes. Nothing poisonous which was good. The back door doesn’t align to the lock so it has to be lifted up so that you can lock the dead bolt. The view is fantastic. I enjoyed the large window door in the mornings to look out at the lake but that was probably the best part. No cooking vent and the windows...

"We really enjoyed our stay at Miner's camp. The property is really nice and clean, very comfortable and we appreciated the AC, since it was really hot during the day. It seemed a little overpriced for the location"

"The Pine cabin is pet friendly and has a comfortable bed. Good size for two people and a small dog. The fan worked well to keep the cabin cool during hotter than normal temperatures. The kitchen is small, but there is outdoor seating on the front porch and in the back. Coffee, tea, and creamer in the refrigerator was a nice touch."

"Cabana was good, plenty kitchen utensils and a grill outside. The pool was nice, hiking was ok. Check in was not the best, I arrived at 1530 and said hello checking in and one of the 3 ladies working there immediately say “is too early, if I check you in now it’ll be $30 extra”. No hospitality whatsoever. One other lady then saved the day by talking nicely and went over the requirements and also mentioned the cabana was not ready yet. I patiently waited until 1600, "

They mentioned in the website that there were fun activities such as a pool, the pool was not working, it was very hot and the pool would have made it more enjoyable . Also, they mentioned there was basketball courts they were very old and no balls for us to use . Also it said there was miniature golf we did not see any clubs to be used. "Great staff, clean and cute cabin. When raining or when snow falls from the surrounding trees, it can make a lot of noise on the roof which can disturb one’s sleep. "
