Hotels with Amazing Views in Catalina Island

"It was funky and fun location. However, there was extreme pot smells as well as other smells all night. The shower was gross and barely usable. Beds were fine. Kitchen was fine but we didn’t cook in it. There is a nice shared patio in the front. "

"We were able to check in 2hrs before so that was a big plus, also they stored our bags for us so we could go sightseeing while waiting for check in. "

"Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and despite being street side was quiet. Biggest disappointment was the restaurant. It closed early one day and didn’t open for breakfast on another. Easy walking distance to just about everything in Catalina. "

"Not a hotel a posh hostel. No lift,no bar,no bread at breakfast only bagels. Only 2 loungers on roof. Room safe 6 foot high. Balcony on room 2 foot wide. Catalina requires a lot of walking. So if you stay here you need to be young and fit. Myself after climbing the hill and the4 stelps into the hostel I had to sit in reception before tacking the 2 flights of stairs to the room. No shop,restaurant or bar until you go back down the hill. Very expensive for a view but little functionality. Book carefully if going. Do not stand in line on harbour returning on ferry in rough weather. Many of us were hit by waves and were sodden. Hair,clothes,feet,luggage still wet on arrival at long beach."
