"This was my second time visiting Catalina Island. The first time was a cruise day trip, and this time my husband and I came for a two-night getaway. After researching several hotels, we chose Aurora Hotel because of the great reviews and recently renovated rooms. It’s about a 12-minute walk from the ferry—just a slight uphill at the end, so if you have heavy luggage, expect a few pauses. Check-in was quick and friendly. "This was a really nice place we didn’t know what the room would be like but we ended up in a title cottage above the office. It was so nice for our anniversary it was like we were in our own little house. The staff was really nice it’s very convenient to everywhere we went over our stay. I know Avalon is not a huge city, but we didn’t rent a cart and we walked all over with Hermosa Hotel being pretty close to central.
