"The room was filthy, they didn’t even try to make it look clean. The bed sheets were stained, there were holes in the sheets. We had to buy sanitizing wipes to wipe down everything including the floors. The area of the hotel has a bunch of suspicious looking people everywhere, it made you feel unsafe even in your room. "ANTS. Hotel looks ghetto from the street and parking lot, but the rooms are surprisingly modern, and clean except for the ants. I didn’t see any other bugs besides ants. Stayed for 2 nights. Only noticed a few ants the first night (less than 5). Spilled a drop of juice near the sink the 2nd day. Thought I wiped it up good enough. Nope. "The Ayres Hotel Fountain Valley - Huntington Beach was the cleanest hotel we have every stayed in! The room was spacious and had all the needed amenities. The front desk staff were very friendly and efficient. Parking was easy and free, and the property was easy to find. The breakfast was the typical continental breakfast provided by hotels, a mix of hot items, cereal, and baked goods."

I find most hotels in this price range don't replace their mattresses often so there are well-formed concave dents from previous sleepers. Also a kind of slope, you know, where your feet are at a higher level than your head? The only deduction would be that it seemed someone had shaved their head recently in the bathtub...
