"Very helpful staff"

"We enjoyed our stay but there were a couple things I thought could be better. Our room had a strange musty smell to it. I tried to make coffee and realized that the coffee pot was cracked. Luckily, they have tea packets in the rooms so I had that instead. I wanted a Mountain View room but my balcony view was the back of the large kids slide instead with fencing. "Dated hotel, very nice staff, parking is free but good luck getting a spot. The place was clean, room was roomy enough but in desperate need of updating. The bed was horrible -lumpy and it feels weary worn out. Conveniently located to highway and many local attractions. All and all a decent hotel for people in a budget."

"Was in town for a convention at the Convention Center which was only about a 1/2 mile / 10-15 minute walk away. Chipotle across the street was a lifesaver. Near the Balboa Theater if you’re in town to see a play/ show. Lots of restaurants in the Gaslight District. Petco Park next to Convention Center. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Room very clean. Bed comfortable. Short bus ride for $2.50 to the airport should you choose to bypass Uber or a taxi. Only gripe I had was the TV in the room...

"It was the perfect pitstop."

"From the moment we arrived they were very welcoming. Property very clean and great food. We had our 13 year old son and he had a blast from swimming, meeting new friends, playing basketball and enjoying the access to the beach. It was simply amazing."

This makes the it feel more like a motel as there are no amenities out there, the rooms are ok but not that nice and you can hear neighbors through the walls. Also my last visit I asked if I could switch to a handicap room because it turned out I had a cast on my arm and would find it difficult to use the fixed shower head. They didn't...

"The pros were that it was affordable and close to Disneyland. However, there was a surprise nightly parking fee. I also book for five people, but there were only two beds and I also had to rent an expensive roll away bed. I do not like undisclosed, surprise charges. There were huge windows at the front of the room that are so thin they may as well not be there at all.
