"Great location, wonderful rooftop view, community kitchen was a huge plus. Our room was very quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful. The common space was cleaned well daily. The bunk beds have curtains - great for giving our teens privacy while on their devices and we were resting. This was our family’s first stay at a hostel and I would love to stay here again. I also liked the history lessons around the property."

"The place is fresh remodeled in side and out as well check in is up stairs but also has check in reception during the day at entrance lobby for customers. Room is clean and comfortable with daily activities including walking beach trails and yoga exercises for everyone."

"Love the staff, immediately fix of air con and replace non functioning hair dryer plus top up coffee . However staff dealt very well with a man assaulted outside. Called am os police etc,wore gloves and appropriately cleaned floor inside foyer . Despite my dailyadvice to clean up the obvious dried blood stains on the foyer and step outside the doors and my suggestion to use peroxide, the intro area still had those obvious stains when l left 3 days later . "I really enjoyed my stay at the Espy! I’d just finished up a long study abroad program that was mainly camping so I had a ton of gear to carry around with me. Luckily they let me drop my bags off before check-in and keep them there after check-out before I left to the airport. I got a private room and it was probably the best deal in cairns!
