Sonesta Maho Beach All Inclusive Resort Casino & Spa
6/10 Okay
"The resort is beautiful. You will be greeted with the most welcoming front desk experience. However that is as good as it gets for service. The staff beyond the front desk seem as if they hate their jobs and you for being there. This especially goes for the wait staff in the restaurants in the resort and especially the buffet. If you do not stay in the adults only pool in ocean point….you will be at the pool with a very rowdy crowd who picks fights. They literally stopped serving shots because of a few groups of people (this is not the resort's fault). The adults only sections on the 9th and 10th floors were very relaxing and live music at night and its own bar where you could also order food. Now I must say, this resort, and I’ve been to over 15 all inclusive resorts….this one has absolutely the worst food ever! Started out flavorless to say the least. Then we went to Jings, let’s just say I would rather eat a boiled hot dog in dirty water! I was soooooo nauseous after that experience. Do not go to this resort thinking you’re gonna want to eat the food. And your definitely not going to get any local cuisine unless you leave the resort. The best food is off the resort! Until they decide to improve anyways. Made the best out of the drinks and beach which was great. The adults only pool outside the fitness center at Ocean Point was also great! (just have to pay for the adults only option of 9th and 10th floors of Maho Beach). Also did the Toppers Rhum Distillery tour, also fun!"
"This is a very nice quite resort.
Food and drinks were very good 👍 swimming pools were great and ocean was very nice calming water I don't know what they use when they was the towels but they smell amazing"
"The property is secluded (too secluded), far from everything except the beach, and THE BEACH IS BEAUTIFUL. No phones in the room and the breakfast is expensive for a continental one. $16.00 euros per person."
Sonesta Ocean Point All Inclusive, Adults Only Resort
2/10 Terrible
"Although the food and drinks were good, the customer service was terrible. Staying at this resort was the worst experience I’ve ever had. The staff were not friendly and not accommodating. I had no AC for 3 of the 4 nights there. After several complaints and multiple maintenance workers failing to fix the issue, they offered to upgrade me to a different room the night before checking out (my birthday) at 10:30pm. They did not offer a bellboy to assist with moving my bags from one room to the next. They only wanted to offer me a $50 credit which was useless since it was offered the night before checking out. The manager claimed she will find a different way to compensate me for my unfortunate stay but instead of offering anything I was approached with constant questioning and the run around until I checked out. Nothing was resolved. The bartenders were rude at the bars and the staff all around were not welcoming at all. Very disappointed with the stay and lack of customer service. I don’t recommend staying here."
