Recent stay- March 2024. Resort has many duplex units in plantation style. Very nice accommodation with ample room, stocked kitchenette with basic dining needs. All have private veranda and grounds are very nice. A 10 minute walk to "The Villages (shopping/restaurants) and expansive beautiful beaches. La plantation has a small bar and outside dining area overlooking pool. Breakfast buffet in mornings - reservations for dinner if you choose to dine -amazing food prepared by one of the best.

The hotel was wonderful! The pool area and restaurant had a great vibe and the food was great! The beach is literally a 5 minute walk and Orient Bay Beach was perfection. Waves, but not too rough. Beautiful turquoise water. The beach service was great as well! La Plantation has an arrangement with a beach club, so chairs and umbrellas were included with the hotel stay. The staff were all so friendly. Our room, a master suite with a sea view, was spectacular. Large room, large bathroom. We loved it. Will definitely be back! Renting a car is definitely a plus and I hightly recommend doing so. It's a quick 10-15 minute drive to a local supermarket, and to Grand Case which has great restaurants and shops.

The suites are individual self contained ground floor apartments built in the style of plantation houses. Very pretty and spacious with quite well equipped kitchenettes. Lovely pool area with bar.

The view was incredible! Front desk staff were attentive and made the check-in speedy as we had a crying baby. Bar staff were fun and the pool was just lovely! Great location - close to the beach yet felt tranquil in the hill!

Every person was kind and helpful. From check-in to check out every meal, drink and encounter with staff was a pleasure. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. It could probably survive on the setting alone, but the staff goes above and beyond every day. I give it all the stars.

Great location 5 mins walk to Orient Beach. 10-15 mins walk to supermarket and restaurants. Housekeeping staff brilliant. Lovely pool. Great breakfast , great bread , pastries and fruit salad.

We very much enjoyed our stay at La Plantation. Our unit was clean and comfortable with spectacular views. The staff were friendly and helpful, the property well kept. Beautiful Orient Beach, as well as the village stores and restaurants are walking distance, but would be a bit of a hike for some, however, a short car ride for them. We enjoyed the morning breakfast each day. We have stayed here before, not been back to SXM since Hurricane Irma in 2017. We are happy to say the Island is great as always, La Plantation has never disappointed, we would gladly visit again.

The staff was wonderful. The rooms were clean and well kept. The doors to the balcony had no handles in the outside so when you were out there it was impossible to close the doors. This led to insects getting in. My husband was all chewed up and uncomfortable most of the time. We also were disappointed that the pool bar was not open during the day and didn’t open until 6 pm. I will say the food at the restaurant was amazing!
