I’m pretty sure I paid for a newer upgraded room, but I wasn’t in a newer room. The property really needs an update. The pool was the best part. If you’re not in the hotel all day long then don’t worry about it, but if you are going to stay in the hotel, I would look at other accommodations.

The check in staff were friendly and absolutely amazing. My room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The only downside for me was no access to the beach due to seaweed. Which I know is apart of nature but I primarily booked the resort for beach access. I would definitely stay again

If you are planning to take a trip because you love the beach this is not the place to go during our entire state. The beach was covered in seaweed and unusable from what I understand. It is like that for a large part of the year. The staff in the front desk area are terrible and uncaring. They ask you to take a tour of the property in order to try to convince you to buy into the property. They tell you it’ll last an hour. They strung us along for three days and would not leave us alone about it. I was there as a hotel guest not an order. This resort is about making money off of every area. The guest has to use. They offer you trips and activities and everything adds up money upon money upon money they pretending to create an environment, which is Family, but it is not it is about tourist surrendering their money. The only area that I was involved in that was well worth paying for was the taxi driver by the name of Nate. He was an awesome individual that restored my faith daily in people there I’m not saying that all the staff members were terrible, but they will be short snappy at you if you ordered food in the restaurant it took almost an hour and a half for you to get it. I found out that they put a service fee on everything and the service fee did not even go to the person who were serving you so if you go there, please be sure to tip the waitress and waitresses. This was not enjoyable and I will never go to oyster Bay again.

The ladies at the activity desk and the staff at the restaurant are very friendly and helpful. The property is showing signs of aging, and needs some maintenance and repairs. Our specific unit needs some upgrades and replacements (mattress, chairs, faucets, etc...). The lighthouse as a whole is great, as there is a more private gym and pool facility. The property itself is in a great location, being away from the hustle of everything. Getting through traffic to get there sucks, but it's nice and quiet. There needs to be some effort to clean their section of Dawn beach though.

Very pretty resort on the Atlantic Ocean. Staff was helpful and kind in almost every way. We had Sasha as our waitress many times in the restaurant and she was pleasant and helpful. Our next trip to St. Marteen will include Oyster Bay Resort.

The room was on the second floor facing the courtyard/mountain view. St. Maarten has so many beautiful scenery that I do not think the room placement matter. I believe there are some changes need to happen such as cleaning staff having access to fresh linen daily so they can make up the room properly. We have a toddler with us and she got some chocolate stained on both blankets, ideally in other resort, the bed would have been made with new sheets, however at this facility, the housekeeping staff fixed the bed by flipping the dirty sheets inside out to hide the stained. We were very disappointed and I do not think this is the housekeeping staff fault as the facility has no elevator and I've only noticed delivery of bagged towels for each room daily to change out (there should be a linen closet in every building to fix this problem). The room are older looking and we encountered mold-like smell which initially we thought it just needed some air out but after contacting management, they send two maintenance staff to wipe down the entire room (every crevices) which fixed the problem temporarily. It makes us wonder if the rooms were thoroughly cleaned between each guest. The facility has ample parking and security at entrance to give us peace of mind. The pool is large however cold (not the facility fault). The complimentary breakfast, read the fine prints as it is not what you think. I find that misleading and ended up with a hefty breakfast bill.

property is a little far from everything. We had ants in our room. The bar and restaurants were nice. They had different theme nights and the staff was friendly especially the bartenders. the water was rougher on the this side of the island compared to simpson bay. overall not a bad place to stay for the money.

We staying in an ocean view room and it was great! Clean, had everything we needed to be perfectly comfortable. We greatly enjoyed having a full sized fridge and kitchenette so we could make our own food. It was lovely to sit on the patio and enjoy breakfast as we watched the birds and listened to the waves. The pool area was beautiful! It looked like you were swimming in the ocean with the infinity pool. We didn't venture to the beach, it looked lovely but with the Atlantic exposure on this side of the island we chose to go explore some of the beaches on the Caribbean side of the island instead. The staff hotel and restaurant staff were very competent. We used the hotel suggested car services (taxi) and met Juan the first day, he turned into our unofficial tour guide and restaurant suggester for the our stay on St. Maarten. We also enjoyed meeting the other guests who were at the resort, many of whom had been back to this resort and St. Maarten regularly for 10, 20 or even 30 years. This is a lovely property and even though we were in the older part of the complex, we were very happy with our stay at Oyster Bay.

The room had a balcony with ocean view which was fantastic. The pool and associated hot tub were very nice and beautiful infinity pool wall. There were ample chaise lounges with umbrellas.

Most everyone was helpful and pleasurable to deal with. Check in process quick but i did not know until i checked in the property is also a timeshare, which you could chose to get a presentation or not. I thought it was stictly a resort so feel like tgat wasnt fully disclosed. Property seems a little dated but had been maintained very well. It was nice having apt size fridge/freezer, microwave and stovetop but we didnt use that. There is a little store on site because the place isnt close to a grocery store. So if you are staying for a while and plan on cooking your meals that would come in handy. There a casual dining place and a more upscale restaurant on the property because nothing too much else in the nearby distance except a place call Big Fish, which is good but expensive. Pool was nice and view was great.

I ended up at the resort after my other rental had a power outage. I was upgraded to a one-bedroom which was nice, but no ocean view. The property is a touch outdated but I suppose that is reflected in the price. The staff was great, the pool was nice and the Veranda Bistro was a fun vibe with pretty good food. The sheets are pretty rough, not soft at all. Also, there were no outlets directly next to the bed to charge phones which would have been nice. The continental breakfast that was included was toast and a croissant, too many carbs. It would have been nice to have some fruit. I would stay again.

Kamer werd elke dag schoon gemaakt, als je dat wilt, bed opgemaakt. Geen uitzicht op zee hadden wij, die kamers zijn er wel. Personeel hard werkend en vriendelijk. We hebben hier leuk contact gehad met verschillende werknemers. We zaten in een Courtyard Room wat betekende dat we erg veel meekregen van de activiteiten. Wat niet altijd gewild of gewenst was, denk aan harde muziek van de live band of karaoke.

The good things about this stay were; hotel was clean and tidy, staff were absolutely amazing, great food close by and a quiet location. The not so good things; we paid for a continental breakfast and were given coupons for the same, we were not allowed near the buffet. We had to be seated. Some days we were given just one croissant and some days we were given toast aswell. This is NOT a continental breakfast. This was part of the reason we chose the hotel. So we ended up spending extra money getting a decent breakfast at the bar down the road or paying for a bigger lunch. It was so embarrassing. We felt like the poor kids at school who are segregated because they cant afford a meal. They also put us in a room around the courtyard which was perfectly acceptable but the noise from events in the courtyard is overwhelming. People getting drunk at the bar late at night or musicians playing so loudly you cannot sleep. The only reason I've scored them so high is because the staff were amazing otherwise i probably wouldnt recommend it otherwise
