"The place was amazing, if you're looking for a typical japanese experience this is the place . The property is nice and well maintained. The rooms are not new but it add to the classical japanese experience. Overall i recommend if you are looking to live the authentical japanese experience. "The host was amazing. He contacted us to see what time to expect us. Whenever we walked up he was at the door to welcome us and show us around. We loved everything about our stay. Now understand that this is a traditional Japanese home. My family enjoyed the experience. "The room is GrandWest is very clean, spacious and comfortable, with a Japanese modern style. We love it. The property is very close to the Arashiyama train station, 6 mins walk. It is also very close to the shopping downtown place, walkable maybe around 10 minutes walk. Property is at a very convenient location. The customer service is also very good. Excellent overall. "

"There are so many cute little touches to this hotel! In our room, there is a beautiful rice crackers package and a handmade folded crane for good luck! When at the front desk there was yummy mochi for guests to try! Oishii! So good! There is a dining area on the left you can sit and drink ice water and hot tea if you are staying at the hotel. "This was a nice hotel. Somewhat difficult to find, though. The attention to guests isn’t great. Left our garbage for them to take and it was still in our room when we returned at the end of the day. They offer free coffee, but ran out of cream and didn’t have any available for 2 days. Strange. Also, no front staff in the morning to ask questions. "
