Overall, a great stay in Lagos here. The pros were the very close proximity to the main beaches of Praia de Dona Ana (great beach), Praia do Camilo and Ponta da Piedade which made for a quick trip to the beach in the morning and back to shower and head about 20 min walk into town. We also were able to do a quick evening walk on the boardwalks to Ponta da Piedade. Like many other reviews, loved the breakfast variety, so many options including honey directly from a honey comb and dishes that changed every day of our short stay. A few more hot dishes would have been nice though.
The room itself was very large and bed was comfortable although the pillows were almost too high/fluffy that your head didn't quite rest flat. The bathroom is probably the part we liked the least as the faucet was shaky and was too close to the edge so you had to press your hands against the sink to wash. It also had a slight smell near the sink, unsure what it was. To note, similar to other hotels we stayed at, the hand wash is the same as the body and shampoo so if you're picky on toiletries being your own.
Overall though I did love the grounds with all the flowers, the breakfast, location and the spaciousness and would stay again, perhaps exploring a different room type.
