"While my room was initially clean, housekeeping did not come for 2 days; needless to say garbage piled up. We had to leave early due to an untimely death in the family; because I made the reservation through Expedia, Marriott would not refund any money. I will have to rethink reserving a room at Marriott in the future."

"Asked where could eat, they didn’t mention a Wendy’s right next door? Could have cleaned in corners bit better, loved lamps, every thing was pretty nice, breakfast was good, loved eggs done as triangle omelettes, always like crisp bacon. The coffee machine was excellent!!!"

"Upon checking in, we found the hotel undergoing a co.plete renovation. Most of the main lobby closed off and the bar moved to the restaurant. The elevators were also being renovated and taken out of service 1 or 2 at a time out of the 3. I would have expected Expedia to have some type of construction notice when booking. I always stay at the Southbank when in Jacksonville, but this had to be the most disappointing visit EVER!!! Call the hotel beforehand to confirm status of renovation to avoid...

"Communication barrier due to foreign workers. Was there 4 three days with my baby and was given hand towels for bath towels stating they were out. It was a great price for a twin room. Clean-no bugs. Bad water pressure. Front desk was hard to deal with. Overall good stay for the money. Need ENGLISH speaking employees!"

"My stay was so unexpectedly disappointing. I have always had good experiences with Marriott hotels and this was definitely not to their normal standards. We booked through Expedia and they stated that parking was free. The person at the front desk said that it was actually $5 a day. This means that if you check it at 10pm on Friday and check out at 8am the next morning (roughly a 10 hour stay) you will be charged for two days of parking. And they did charge us $10 for a 10 hour stay. The desk...
