"We had a terrible experience, first the building and pictures looked nothing like the hotel , very dated and musty smelling . Little geckos around and staff very condescending and rude . We had to ask for an iron and that came at a fee . The most polite man called Rodrigo or a name with R, said we could use the iron and return. We left 3 days early due to these unforeseen circumstances."

"The room was spacious. The beds comfortable. The kitchen was fairly well equipped allowing for simple meal preparation. Overall the hotel presents as well maintained. The pool, in particular, is regularly checked and cleaned. Dinner for two in the main restaurant was very good and decently priced. Parking is at street side. A 30 minute walk to the nearest beach and old town. Would fully recommend."

"Beautiful hotel, but in a very busy area. I will say the breakfast was awful. Not to our taste. No change in options from day to day. The views from the Monica collection was spectacular. There is a fabulous restaurant on the beach called the beach cafe that provided romantic, delicious meals in the evening. Overall we had a nice stay"

"The photos are misleading. Says there are 6 pools , a number of amenities which is all true however many of the condos are owned. The condo we were placed in was at the extreme end of the resort. This was not walkable for me so I was not able to enjoy the things that were there. The condo we got was spacious. Beds very hard so uncomfortable/difficult to sleep. Not nice bedding/blankets provided had a smell and scratchy/rough. Was going to use them to lie on top of to try to soften the bed but...

"Pine Cliffs Gardens is a beautiful property. The grounds, gardens, beach and accommodations are lovely, and the resort itself has so much potential. Unfortunately, the restaurant experience was deplorable. The food was consistently poor, the service was unacceptable, and the prices were outrageous for the quality provided. We are happy to pay premium prices when the food and service justify it, but that simply wasn’t the case here. For a resort positioning itself at this level, the restaurants...

"Overall, a very good hotel/resort. The challenge is that it's layout is over a very large property. Finding your way around is a mystery and walking to your room, with the luggage, from the reception is very difficult ... but they arranged for a van to take us. Using Uber at night, the driver couldn't find our villa."
