"Superb. Seamless check-in and out. Spotless room, comfortable bed, powerful shower, nightlite in bathroom. We didn't have breakfast, but ate dinner in the River Grille, and the food was delicious. The service was exemplary also. Only very minor gripe was that they had XO cognac at the bar, and no proper brandy glasses. Barman actually asked if he should put the cognac in my coffee!"

"During a 5 night stay twice the cleaning team overlooked cleaning our room. Parking arrangement very good. Overall the cooked breakfast was not hot. The quantity of pre/cooked eggs was excessive for the speed that they were required, and looked unappealing. Perhaps the hotel could consider cooking the eggs to order"

"The room was nice enough - standard layout and decor as you’d expect for a hotel du vin. Bathroom nice. Corridors looked a little tired but not too bad. Bar and lounge area were ok but nothing special. Terrace is fantastic- or at least the situation is. Served our purpose very well as a place to stay to go to a party nearby. "Good central location. Hotel smells of curry which is fine if that’s your thing, bar prices very expensive, bar staff inattentive. The hotel is geared towards Indian clientele (Indian cricket and tennis on the bar tv’s). Wifi next to useless. I couldn’t sleep because of a very loud whining noise in my room(153) and the corridor which I reported to the staff on my departure.If you’re looking for a Bristolian experience, this hotel isn’t it."
