"The staff were very helpful and hotel was very clean but the air con didn't really work. Only the left hand corner produced any air. Room was hot even with the fan provided. Not good enough for the price paid. The cold water always ran hot for a couple of minutes. Which I thought was strange but keep in mind if you stay there."

"The room had everything you need but wasn’t clean and they don’t clean during your stay either. You can get new towels from reception, but no one is coming to get your previous wet/used ones. Reception desk is impressive and the 2 girls were smiley and attentive. Bathroom was ok but looking very tired. Shower was good and powerful. Parking is easy and the golf course looks good. "We were in Southampton on one of the hottest days of the year. The hotel is not air conditioned. A small fan was provided, but it was an unbearably uncomfortable night and neither of us were able to sleep. I have stayed at the Novotel numerous times over the past two decades and the hotel is increasingly dated and tired, especially the bathrooms. Considering increasingly hot summers, the owners of the hotel should invest in Air Conditioning."

"The rooms are not in the main building, they are what I can only describe as motel type rooms in a couple of blocks. We had a 1st floor room the window only opened an inch and there was no A/C, didn't get a lot of sleep at the weather therefore the room was baking hot.
