"I booked a night here before my cruise and everything was swonderful. My room was large and clean. The pub had wonderful staff and I enjoyed having a pint of beer on their deck. I ate supper at Marco Pierre and enjoyed a wonderful buffet breakfast in the same area the next morning. The concierge here were outstanding! They are always visible, will store your luggage and even arrange taxi transfer to the cruise port. Very organized, and safe feeling - especially for a solo woman traveler."

"The room was fairly basic, minimalist! There were no spare blankets available but the room had heat available in the hotel. The restaurant ordering was all by QR code - no cash. The food was good. The outer corridors was noisy until 9.45pm with small children running up and down and yelling unsupervised. I didn’t report it hoping the parents would act like parents!"

"The first problem was that we only had bath towels in the room and no others, but when we asked they brought them up. Then when we opened the sheets to get into bed, one side of the bed was dirty. The food in the restaurant was very good and they offered ice water anytime you wanted it. It was a great hotel to use for getting onto a cruise."

"The view of Winchester Cathedral from my bedroom was amazing. All of the staff were extremely helpful and positive including promptly resolving air temperature issues in my room. "Got upgraded to a lovely studio room. Room was quiet, had excellent facilities in the room such as a kitchenette, table with games and a view over the park. There was also good amenities such as a gym. The staff were also very helpful and friendly. The only criticism is that they need to be clearer about parking as didn't realise this needed to be booked in advance. It was all booked out and I needed to reserve another space elsewhere with justpark."

"Property in general is looking a bit tired and in need of some modernisation and updating, bathroom wasnt the cleanest unfortunately with stains at the bottom of the toilet, shower gel bottles just left randomly in the bathroom and the area around the sink not great either. That being said the sauna, pool area were very nice and clean, view was ok although some dining guests could see into my room which wasnt great but slept well and felt refreshed so as a whole not too bad at all"
