"Great location"
We stayed 4 nights at Nathan's hotel in May 2015. We booked a standard room, but they upgraded us to a larger room since the standard room was not available. The front desk person informed us at check-in that the floor below our room is under construction from 10am-7pm. Thus, it would be a bit noisy during the period of construction. However, we hear construction noise starting around 8am. Once we contacted the front desk, the noise level was reduced for 1 hour and got louder as it was approaching 10am. All the other days we stayed at the hotel, the noise started around 9:30am. Other than the noise, the room was clean and hotel staff were friendly.

The Harbourview

Was in HK for a conference at the HK convention center end May. The location of this hotel is excellent as it is just opposite of the convention center and in terms of rate it is quite affordable for the location and the room it offers.

"Great hotel, friendly staff, close to transport"
From arrival, when we were upgraded to suites, through to leaving the hotel, our experience was fantastic. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms spacious and comfortable. Two complimentary bottles of water each day was a bonus. The lounge area provided a comfortable place to sit, access to computers/internet, free soft drinks and snacks (love the peanut M&Ms). Sai Ying Pun MTR station has now opened up and is less than five minutes' walk to LBP. It's also a short walk to some good local restaurants, cafes, convenience stores and supermarkets. Whilst Hong Kong's public transport is excellent, it is a short, interesting walk into Central, approx 15 min.

"Good place to stay"
This hotel is new (opened last year) and is in a pretty good location. Walkable to central, but also has subway stations, tram and bus, as well as the free shuttle from the Airport Express stop at Hong Kong station. We were upgraded to a business room, which was nice. Our room was bigger than I expected. I'm not sure how small the normal rooms are. As other reviewers have mentioned, the wifi is spotty (sometimes it worked and other times it didn't from our room); there are only 2 elevators so the wait can be long (especially if one is broken, like it was for one day of our stay); and the lobby is on the 2nd floor (which is a little confusing since there isn't an obvious entrance to the hotel). They don't have a restaurant or rooftop bar and I don't think there was any place with a view of the harbor or skyline. The free shuttle from the airport express has a stop here, but we didn't use it. We got in too late (just missed the last one) and we were in a hurry when we left. Taxi is only HK23 plus HK5 per bag and faster so the shuttle probably doesn't matter but it's nice as an option. All the people at the front desk were nice and helpful. Overall I liked this hotel.

Butterfly on Wellington

122 Wellington Street, Central, Hong Kong - Map
"Excellent location, comfortable hotel."
Hotel is superbly located just off the Mid-Levels Escalator, or a 5 min walk from Central Station. Wellington St has some great food options too. On-going construction work is a bit of a pain on weekends when you want a bit of a lie-in—the piling causes the floor to move, quite literally. But then again, on weekdays it does act as an alarm clock. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. Rooms are clean enough, although I did return one evening to find that housekeeping had left their cleaning cloth on top of the kettle mid-way through cleaning, I suppose. Only complaint is that the mini-fridge in the room was pathetic. It was on but it seems incapable of keeping anything cool. Bought a sandwich to eat the next morning, but overnight in the strangely-non-functioning bridge led to it smelling rather bad.
