We liked the location. It was between 2 metro stations, so very convenient.
There was a good variety of shopping. It was mainly exclusive shops at the mall near our hotel, but there were also street markets if you walked the other way!
The service was very good. We didn’t eat in the restaurant so couldn’t say what the food was like.

Hotel was comfortable, clean, and half a block from the metro. It was also just across the street from a historic temple, and 2 blocks from the jade market and the Temple street night time market. Breakfast was fine but had to laugh when they advertised sausage and it was actually hot dogs. Only complaint was that the beds were really hard.
There are several buses that run from the center of the city to Ap Le Chau, but at rush hour one can expected to queue for up to 30 minutes. Alternatively, with the cheap & efficient taxi service one can expect to pay about $70HK, $10 USD to the hotel.
The room itself is very small but has all the amenities one could ask, like free bottle water, refrigerator, toiletries, slipper etc. Bed length is only 5'6", which may not be suitable for some westerners.
Pretty clean, there is AC in the room, and only 2 things wich are not so good, but it's ok: water in the shower every time changes temperature: or it's cold or it's too hot and another is: after 10 pm main doors close and you need to up to the mountain for another entrance because location of the hotel is in the mountains...
