"The check-in staff was terrific. He was cheerful, explained how to get to different areas, made suggestions, was efficient. Our room was clean but smelled very musty. The bed is very comfortable. Good luck figuring out the elevator buttons on where you need to go. It’s very confusing and not well marked. It’s the strangest room numbering system ever. Ex. Room 2302 is on the third floor. When reaching the 3rd floor, you pass aisles of rooms marked 4300, next aisle 3300, then 2300, then 1300 all...
"Lovely character old stately home / converted hotel with grounds. Beautiful high ceiling rooms. Was lovely and peaceful when we were there but obviously sometimes there are weddings and functions. Staff were friendly & helpful. Exactly what we needed for a relaxing night away from the kids. Really enjoyed our stay and lovely breakfast. Even had a couple of complimentary drinks at the bar with vouchers from the room. Thank You for a lovely stay - will definitely be back."
