"Lovely hotel with welcoming public spaces and warm staff."

"Good place to stay for a one night stay. Very close to the city centre, less than a ten minute walk to York Minster and so a good base for our trip. Nice clean rooms, good size. Bathroom was also clean and bright. The kettle was very mouldy though which was a shame so couldn't use this. The car park is also very very small and compact and didn't seem as secure as expected as the barriers are left often."

"Was disappointed to find that there was no available gym in the hotel, even though it is advertised as such. The sofa bed in the room was broken, as was the air-conditioning. Staff attempted to fix it but didn’t make a difference. When we visited, there was a pile of mattresses sitting in the lobby. Surely there’s a better way to manage this. We shared our complaints with staff at the hotel but they showed little interest so I hope management will take note "

"Staff were friendly, wasn’t impressed by the cleanliness in the room. Breakfast wasn’t good and found most of the dishes pretty dirty."

"Rooms were quite dated and some furniture damaged, whilst it’s a nice hotel I think some of the amenities need to be replaced."
