"Excellent location, clean room , great service "

"We arrived around 11:00 am, even though it was too early for check in. The owner allowed us to go ahead and park (for free) and he took our luggage up. We made the walk to town in 10 minutes. When we returned that evening, our luggage was in our room and the snacks and wine we brought were in the fridge. The room was lovely and comfortable. The bathroom was extremely clean. Plenty of towels, pillows and blankets. Noise from the street was minimal. We will definitely stay again!!"

"Lovely welcome from host Jack, easy parking and access to the property. Room very clean and comfortable, everything needed for our 2 night stay. Great selection for continental breakfast in the morning in a pleasant self service dining area. Enjoyed a meal at The Plough Inn which was a short 5min walk away."

"Very welcome and friendly check-in, helpful and polite staff. Queens Rooms spacious and clean, walk in shower lovely. Requested for rooms to be close and were next to each other. Breakfast lovely, sausage, bacon, eggs, tomatos, beans, hash browns plus continental, fruits, yoghurt and juice. Parked in Q-park shambles just a 5 min walk to hotel which is located very close to the centre. "

"The hotel is very nice, and the public areas smell fresh and clean. The reception staff are really friendly and chatty, and the breakfast staff cheerful and welcoming. Our room was very comfortable, clean and a nice temperature! We would definitely stay again. "

"Was disappointed to find that there was no available gym in the hotel, even though it is advertised as such. The sofa bed in the room was broken, as was the air-conditioning. Staff attempted to fix it but didn’t make a difference. When we visited, there was a pile of mattresses sitting in the lobby. Surely there’s a better way to manage this. We shared our complaints with staff at the hotel but they showed little interest so I hope management will take note "

"Hotel design is modern, clean and central to York´s attractions. I stayed for 4 nights, the standard rooms are well equipped, great design, and comfortable. It would´ve been nice to have an alternative to coconut biscuits, a variety of teas and a hot chocolate provided. The housekeeping was different standard everyday, one day the bed wasn’t made or the tea cups cleaned, other days it was very good. I ordered a different cooked breakfast every morning, and honestly wouldn’t want any of them...
