"Convenient location off the motorway. Plenty of parking. Friendly check-in. Room was spacious, clean with large bed and well fitted bathroom with a decent shower. Good facilities in the room such as hair straightener and hair dryer but no kettle. Hot/ cold water is available at a tap in the corridor so be prepared to take your teapot to get water for a brew. Food is served at the adjoining 'diner' which was always busy. Not great options for vegetarians (a plant burger) but breakfast went did...

"Good communication. Accommodation as expected, old building, original features. Hands on host, information comprehensive. Clean, comfortable with lots of little extras. Accessible wet room. Great area."

"The castle was a true castle and maintained well. The staff is every area we’re kind and friendly. "The room is good and of a reasonably high standard. There are however two major challenges. The room was on the top floor which from the car park is three flights of stairs. A lot when you’re carrying several large bags and clothes for a wedding. The second big issue is the hall lights on a sensitive room sensor. There is no way to switch this off or lights off. "Room spotless, bottle of cold water and fresh milk in fridge a bonus. Staff all friendly and helpful even carried out bags up the steep stairs. Although over a pub no problem with noise. Able to park car in their car park and leave it for the whole of our stay. Did not have breakfast as visiting family very close by so went there each morning. Very convenient for bus into town"
