"Convenient location off the motorway. Plenty of parking. Friendly check-in. Room was spacious, clean with large bed and well fitted bathroom with a decent shower. Good facilities in the room such as hair straightener and hair dryer but no kettle. Hot/ cold water is available at a tap in the corridor so be prepared to take your teapot to get water for a brew. Food is served at the adjoining 'diner' which was always busy. Not great options for vegetarians (a plant burger) but breakfast went did...

"Unfortunately a previous guest must have been smoking in our room and so the room was not comfortable to sleep on. It was more of an overnight stay place than a longer holiday choice as the room was fairly small."

"There was a bag of rubbish outside our room when we arrived. The tub had a ball of hair and gunk stuck in the drain. Very dated, we do not recommend."

"The only observation is that in room 18 there were no usb charging points. There were a number of 13A sockets however these were all on the same wall as the desk and none near the head of the bed. I think this an odd missing feature. Room was clean and shower excellent. Breakfast offering in Black Pig was very pleasant as were the staff."

"We had a wonderful time at the Old Church Farm. The grounds are very green and peaceful. Very comfortable beds and great hosts! A gem in the area. Do not skip on the breakfast! a fantastic experience"

"This place has been transformed from a house into a 10 room guest house but with virtually no health and safety measures in place or faulty/unusable ones. The rooms, themselves, are ok but small but, again, no PAT Testing done, no fire exits highlighted etc. The showers are filthy and poorly maintained (more water comes out of the hose than reaches the head). All in all avoid at all costs. Fire doors are wedged open and the only fire blanket is very high up."

"Room spotless, bottle of cold water and fresh milk in fridge a bonus. Staff all friendly and helpful even carried out bags up the steep stairs. Although over a pub no problem with noise. Able to park car in their car park and leave it for the whole of our stay. Did not have breakfast as visiting family very close by so went there each morning. Very convenient for bus into town"

"Liked friendly and helpful staff, comfortable beds and pillows. Not happy with bathroom bin had not been emptied and floor was dirty. Food was quite pricey. Swimming lessons were happening in the pool - more a gym than spa experience."

"For a budget hotel (although I did stay in a Premium room) the room was really quiet and the bed was large. I slept really well. Lovely shower, fun design details - painting, large lamp, coffee machine. The room felt spacious. I’d stay again."

"The castle was a true castle and maintained well. The staff is every area we’re kind and friendly. This is a very nice place to enjoy adult only accommodations and my wife and I would stay here again if ever in the area. Food was also top quality and served as if you were at a 5 star restaurant. "The room is good and of a reasonably high standard. There are however two major challenges. The room was on the top floor which from the car park is three flights of stairs. A lot when you’re carrying several large bags and clothes for a wedding. The second big issue is the hall lights on a sensitive room sensor. There is no way to switch this off or lights off. The lights are very bright. This means you cannot leave bedroom door open at night which is difficult when it’s warm. As there’s...
