"The staff were so friendly and keen to make everything perfect. The room was great. The food was excellent. I had really great dinners and breakfast was delicious start to day. The locals clearly loved the Royal Oak which was another good sign! Such a great stay and only good things to say about it!"

"Lovely place, beautiful food and a really nice room and ambience. But what really made this place was the wonderful warm staff. The lady on arrival was really welcoming, the girl looking after us for food was very attentive and the gentleman who welcomed us at breakfast was delightful. "I am a regular at the Captain Cook Inn. It has an unique ambience which refects Staithes village itself. Bed extremely comfortable but the duvet was a higher tog than the heatwave needed."
