"Beautiful location, overlooking the sea off Ravensglass. Professional, friendly team and great bar and restaurant in a pretty village where it has little competition. "I was very happy with my room! It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Unfortunately the walls are very thin and l could hear the people next door talking as if they were in the same room, so even though the bed/bedding was very clean and comfortable l did not get any sleep, l could even hear a conversation someone was having on a phone. "Lovely room and great views from the room over the estuary. The corner shower is a little small and the outside steps up to the property could be a problem for some guests. We had breakfast at the Pennington Hotel, whilst the food was good the service is very slow, had to ask for tea several times and for the servers to take our cooked breakfast order. "

"We loved the wayside whiskey barn. We had the twin room which was tastefully decorated. The whole place was real class. We had a full english for breakfast which was delicious. Emiko was a lovely lady . She let us book in a bit earlier. She went out of her way for anything that you would need. We would definately go back for a return visit."

"We stayed in one of their 2 Viken lodges. It was huge and easily big enough to accommodate all of us with loads of space for kids to run about and explore. Floor to ceiling Windows and and a gabled roof gave stunning views down the valley to the estuary from both floors. The accommodation was modern and stylish and even had its own sauna. "Location and a comfy bed and lovely bath were the only redeeming features of this house. Lots of damp throughout which you can smell straight away also see. There was a large area on the stairs where wallpaper was missing. The twin room smelled strongly of urine which I feel came from the carpets. "Overall the property was pretty good, it just lacked a few basic things - Washing up sponge and some laundry detergent. Being pretty isolated, these would've been really useful once arriving.
