Hotel di Udaipur

"Hands down the best hotel I have stayed at anywhere in the world, and I've travelled a decent bit. The hotel is amazing, like something out of a fairy tale. Every thing is exquisite. The hospitality is out of this world; lovely staff all around, who go out of their way to make everything as convenient as possible, with the lightest touch. Definitely coming back."

"Enjoyed my stay"

"Pros-Hotel in Lal Ghat area close to city palace entrance. Ethereal feel to this hotel. Lovely clean rooms, reception arranged late check out very helpful. Rooftop pool very nice. Great courtyard ambience in this boutique hotel, with lots of books doted around. Cons-lots of steps to access hotel, once inside lifts available. Probably not good if you have mobility difficulties"

"This was a great hotel with great service. The clean rooms and caretaker was top notch for India. Would recommend this hotel. The room we got also had amazing views of the lake."

"We enjoyed our stay. This hotel is in the hustle and bustle of the old town. The staff and manager couldn’t be more helpful. The Aircon was good in the bedroom. The roof top restaurant was nice and food was excellent. The building had charm and character. It had been beautifully restored and the furniture was in keeping with its heritage. You need to accept that it’s an old building and isn’t sound proof. If you are a light sleeper you will be woken up by horns and dogs barking. That’s part of...

"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The property is beautiful, the location is perfect, and everything was exceptionally clean. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. The service was outstanding from the moment we arrived until we checked out. We truly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and relaxing experience."

"Beautfully restored heritage haveli in a quiet part of town. Lovely courtyard, and excellent rooftop restaurant. Clean, comfortable room, a little oasis of cool and quiet after being in town. Lovely helpful staff, and a very good laundry service."

"Lake view room was 5 *, the view from the bath at sunset was beauitful, possibly the best room we have had on our travels in India, the guy who greeted us was very polite and helpful, however the staff we served us our evening mral in restaurant reduced this from 5 star to 4 star."

"This was a beautiful place to stay in the Old City, perfect for the City Palace and Lake Pichola. The staff were really helpful, the breakfast was good and the accommodation was everything that was promised. Taxis are not allowed into the Old City so there is a short walk once dropped off which I was aware of from other reviews."

"Great place to stay. Highly recommend"

"Site seeing places nearby"

"Excellent, beautiful property , nicely run by the best people in town and close by main attractions . Highly recommended !! Service, food and general condition are unbeatable "

"Room service was quite good. Staff was helpful too."

"A very enjoyable stay at the Smiling Sparrows Villa. The charming villa is nestled in the middle of the old city and can only be accessed either by rickshaw or on foot. The rickshaw drive to-from the villa was one of my favourite parts of the trip! It is perfect for small groups. There are two double rooms and extra beds if needed. The freshly cooked breakfasts from Bhagwati were lovely and he was very accommodating with our requests. I enjoyed the selection of books left by the owners. The...

"Only half the rooms had access via elevator. I had no elevator to my room and that also I found out after the room was assigned. Had I known that I would not have stayed there. Was strange building with really narrow tight corridors with stairs. Room rent should not have been more than 1000 Rs!"

"All the tourist places are very near by the stay. And the staff was also very good."

"I left very early in the morning but they made me a packed breakfast which was substantial. I forgot when I booked to ask for something on the ground level because using the stairs was an awesome task for somebody who is not very good with climbing."
