There was some weird smell in the room even after the staff cleaned up. There was no hot water either. Staff didnt inform anything about road to hotel being closed either. Property mentions parking available but no disclaimer about road being closed for cars most of the times

Great location right in the old part of city; our room had a view of the lake, which was very nice. Room was clean but be aware that amenities are fairly basic - there is no elevator or AC. We had to open the windows at night to sleep, so we had to contend with the road and nearby bar noise. The staff was very friendly and super helpful; really appreciated their suggestions on planning our daily iteniaries. Rooftop restaurant's staff was attentive and even packed us breakfast when we left for an early flight. Overall, stay was comfortable and enjoyable, the experience enhanced by the very friendly and helpful hotel staff.

Great stay, many thanks to the owner of the hotel. He was great during check-in when he showed us his map and prepared itinerary that made the sightseeing sooo much easier, detailing anything you might want to see or get (ATM) along the way. He had different itinerarys depending on how many day's you had to spend in the local area. He was also a great help when our flight got cancelled just as we were about to get a taxi to the airport. He helped us figure out a new route and get a taxi that wasn't trying to charge us double. Our room was still available so we checked back in. With his help our crisis was resolved within half an hour and we were back out sightseeing for the rest of the day. Thank you so much would definitely stay again and the view from the roof top of the lake was incredible, just what you want from a visit to Udaipur

Staying here was like living in a dream. My room had corner windows overlooking the lake. The architectural details made it feel magical. This is India; luxury is defined differently here. It’s more about how well you are treated, and the staff excelled in attentiveness and warmth. Too, they kept the hotel and restaurant impeccably clean. The rooftop restaurant has a splendid view. Too, sitting there, you can feel the depth of spirituality listening to the chanting from the nearby temple and hearing the call of the muezzin, as well as feel the legacy of the Mewar dynasty still influencing the city from the nearby palace. Gopal Singh made the Rooftop Restaurant a welcome refuge from the lively chaos of the nearby marketplace. Harsh, the manager, is also on his game… as was his assistant, whose name I did not catch. The hotel was very well-run. I was sad to leave. And hope someday to return. If you are in Udaipur, this is the place to stay, hands down.

Jaiwana Haveli has a good location and some charm, but my overall experience was disappointing. Travelers should know that cars cannot reach the property directly — you must stop about 2 miles away and transfer to an auto rickshaw, which was never mentioned to me in advance and proved inconvenient after arriving from the airport. I originally booked Sep 21–23 through Expedia. When my international flight was cancelled on Sep 20, I immediately notified both Expedia and the hotel to shift my booking by one day (Sep 22–23) and refund the unused night. Both parties initially acknowledged my situation, and Expedia was optimistic. However, when I checked out, the manager refused to refund anything, and Expedia later confirmed it was the hotel’s decision. After staying elsewhere, I still gave Jaiwana Haveli another chance (Sep 25–26). I asked the manager to consider offering two nights for the price of one as a goodwill gesture — something reasonable, especially given low occupancy — but he declined. While the property itself is pleasant, the rigid policies, lack of transparency, and unwillingness to accommodate left me unsatisfied.

Had a very pleasing stay at Jaiwana Havelli with my family for 2 days. The property is so well maintained and staff were really friendly and helpful to us. I will recommend this if you looking for a lake stay nearby Pichola Lake

Stayed here with family. Breakfast is simple but good and healthy. Clean, quiet, comfortable, walkable from local shops. Close to multiple rooftop dinning places by the lake. We enjoyed our stay.

Location is perfect, near lake, restaurants, palace, etc. Lovely renovated hotel façade. Room was disappointing and spartan. Smelly drains in wetroom, White towels turned grey. Réception staff really friendster.

Worth staying at Jaiwana Haveli

We entered in the property very early in the morning and the room was offered to us (of course with one night advance booking). We did not opt the daily service but the room service/ cleaning is offered on request. Thanks to Mr Harsh, who supported to resolve the conflict before the arrival at the property.

Overall, liked the location, convenience of rooftop restaurant but you need to take tuktuk to carry your luggage. There are no elevators and may be inconvenient for elderly parents.

The view from the rooftop restaurant is simply outstanding. Having breakfast there is a visual treat. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone with serious mobility issues.

Nei vari sistemi di prenotazione non è possibile scegliere la tipologia di camera in quanto vengono offerte solo camere di tipologia standard. Fate attenzione e fatevi confermare che la camera si trovi nel main building dell'hotel, altrimenti vi troverete come noi in una struttura adiacente alla quale si arriva dopo un labirintico percorso di scale e diversi piani (ci siamo persi più volte) per poi ritrovarsi ad avere la vista ostruita appunto dal main building. Non è l'esperienza che ci aspettavamo, mi spiace, avendo comunicato con largo anticipo la richiesta di una camera con vista speravamo che questa venisse presa in considerazione. Veniamo ai servizi: il ragazzo che ci ha accompagnato in camera no sapeva far funzionare l'aria condizionata, ci abbiamo messo 30 minuti per farla partire. Stessa situazione per la cassetta di sicurezza, alla fine siamo riusciti a rilassarci dopo più di un'ora. Considerate inoltre che il wifi, presente in struttura, non ha funzionato mai durante i nostri tre giorni di permanenza. L'isolamento acustico è minimo, alla mattina siamo stati svegliati dai venditori su strada. Il bagno è molto ampio ma anche molto scivoloso (fate attenzione), inoltre la prima sera l'acqua aveva un odore sulfureo poco rassicurante, situazione risolta successivamente. Infine, abbiamo chiesto all'hotel manager un check out anticipato per trovare una struttura migliore, cosa che ci è stata negata (mai successo prima d'ora). In generale non è stato un buon soggiorno.

We enjoyed staying at this hotel. Staff were so helpful and friendly. The only downside was getting to the hotel . We have to walk more than 10 minutes to get there. Breakfast at the roof restaurant was amazing. We enjoyed the wonderful views

Stay in this Hotel!

OMG, where to start? First, the photos on the site are exactly as the hotel appears. From check-in, the staff were amazing and allowed us to have our room at 09:30. The area is bustling and vibrant, and the hotel decor reflects the merge of modern amenities with timeless architecture. The rooftop restaurant for breakfast is an oasis in the city. The views of the lake make it hard to head downstairs to head off on a tour. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough; excellent for travelers on a medium budget looking to enjoy the view.

Amazing Location, Service, Views, and Food!

This is a family-owned hotel run by the Jaiwana brothers, who are among the most attentive, helpful and obliging of hotel owners/managers that I have ever met. They treat their guests like family, and no request is too small. I loved my room, fantastic views of the Lake Pichola and the Old City. The staff is as friendly and helpful as the owners. I look forward to coming here again soon!
