"We loved this hotel, and had a great 4 day stay in Kyoto. Very upscale and peaceful, in a quiet, non-touristy neighbourhood, with lots of convenient travel options. And we ended up in nearby underground jazz bar Zac Baran twice, as well as a tiny local restaurant about 15 minutes walk west, same side of street as hotel, called kawahigashi (it also says 'food and beverage' in English outside). "Great customer service! We arrived earlier around 1ish and checked our luggage’s in first. When we came back, room cards are all ready and luggages were carried in our room in advance. The premium coffee machine produced the best tasty coffee of all hotels I tried so far. The cafeteria was lovely. Too pity haven’t got chance to try their beer (didn’t see we had a beer coupon until after 10pm). The bed was hugely wide, and probably the most spacious bathroom in Japan. Great location! The...
