"The hotel is located in a very convenient area in Gion and is easy to get to the subway station. The unit that we had was the standard one bedroom with two double beds and the unit was super clean, modern and spacious! My mom and I absolutely enjoyed our stay at Rinn Gion Shirakawa. The amenities that they provided were amazing too, ranging from a water fountain, laundry machines and a microwave and others… super great! I highly recommend this hotel if you plan to travel to Kyoto! "

"This was the best hotel stay in my whole life! To start the property I believe is a refurbished historic ryokan so it definitely has the charm of a traditional stay while being luxury appointed ! I cannot speak better about staff here they were so helpful they went out of there way to make sure we had everything , greet us, open doors, offer us umbrellas on rainy days! We did also pay for breakfast and that was truly such a cool experience, taxi was waiting for us in the morning to bring us to...

"As a solo traveller this place exceeded my expectations. The room was very cozy, bathroom very chic and practical and the location was amazing. It’s right at the start of the older cobblestoned dimly lit area and coming home after dinner was really a treat walking the streets. "

"Beautiful room with traditional and modern Japanese influences. Beds very comfortable. Lovely staff. Laundry room and Onsen were really great. Bettei area of hotel had its own entrance/exit and lift, which made coming and going very quick and easy. Very convenient location."

"The hotel has an excellent location steps from the Nishiki market. However, the room was quiet and the beds were firm. It was very convenient to have a washer/ dryer system in the room. The room was a bit small but functional with a microwave and mini fridge in the room. Bus and subway stations are nearby."

"I didn't expect that it would be a whole house just for myself! The service was splendid, very polite and helpful. The house has everything you need, i.e. all the dishes. The interior is traditional and, very comfortable and nice."

"Absolutely loved this place. The awesome friendly staff, the beautiful room, the comfy bed, the location, and the onsen. They alternate the onsen and when it's your turn for the night time view it's amazing! Also has a roof top bar to enjoy the view even more. Thanks for a wonderful stay!"

"Great hotel and wonderful location. The hotel has local charm and character. Be sure to reserve the spa rooms—if I remember it came out to about $30 for over 90 minutes. The spas are private and great after a long day of exploring. Great boutique hotel!"
