"This place is old but it’s well maintained. The room was rather small until I figured the square footage of the balcony. There was a table and four chairs and the area was not cramped. In fact we spent much of our time on the balcony watching the street activity. The hotel has covered valet parking on site but it’s pricey, $48/night with tip >$50. "If you want CHARM and not CHAIN this is it. It was a short walk from everything and not to much noise. Now the staircase threw me off but I had to remind myself CHARM not CHAIN. These places were built before elevators existed. It was very clean and the staff was nice. I felt safe and would stay again. "
