"Lets get the good things out of the way. Firstly, the beds were lovely and comfy and we slept well in them, the night was peaceful with no noise from other rooms, the gentleman on reception very swiftly sorted out an issue that we had with the room which I will get to shortly, we loved the amenities in the room (kettle, hair dryer, fridge, iron and ironing board, great TV and lots of lighting options with lamps etc). Also a view of the river. However, we booked a family room for 2 adults and one child, so three people and when we got to the room, it was only set up for two so I call down to reception to sort the issue out. The phone was not answered so I had to go downstairs and find the receptionist who swiftly sorted the problem. The room on first impressions looked clean but on closer inspection we found a fair amount of rubbish had been left by previous guests which I think was easily visible (toy packaging sticking out from under one bed and McDonald's sauce packet and bottle lid under the other) and some sweet wrappers on the floor near the bed, the desk was wobbly and will fall apart when being leant on, there didn't seem to be any central heating and there was a questionable portable heater, the shower head in the bathroom was dirty/rusty and the taps needed better cleaning. I feel that a bit more attention to detail is needed and this hotel would be a 10/10 but at the moment I would rate it a 6. Also checkout is at 11.30 not 12pm which i feel is normal for a hotel"

"The most terrible hotel experience! We booked at Moxy Hotel in Slough and we arrived to the hotel, and told us that they are fully booked! We asked how is that even possible? The worst part was that there was another couple who also booked and were told they don’t have a room, despite they pre booked the room. When you are this greedy for bookings and expect people not to attend their stay is ridiculous. They told us to drive 10 min to another hotel middle in the night to get a night there. They wouldn’t even want to refund us for the original booking! "

"Convenient location to Terminal 5 (bus stop 4 minutes walk from hotel). Comfortable bed but very small room. Adequate if you just need a room for a night and have an early check in and therefore you want to be within close proximity to Heathrow airport. If you don’t mind being further away there are better options for the money "

Recently refurbished - and taking into consideration its location and the well equipped clean and functional rooms, the tariff is very competitive. Staff friendly and professional. Buffet breakfast typical for a short-stay hotel and good value."
