"The staff is friendly and professional. The rooms were clean (very clean kitchen and bathroom) grounds are maintained and very quaint and cooling. Nice pool too! However you cannot beat the location! You can get up 10 minutes before sunrise and still make it to the beach. Restaurants minutes away and the best shore snorkeling/diving anywhere! Parking is convenient and easy. We will be booking again!"

"The receptionist was exceptionally kind, the location is prime, Lauderdale-by-the-Sea is a walkable distance, very comfortable beds, you can walk right out into the sand on the beach, pool was clean, free paddle board & kayak usage, & parking is included."

"Nice place but very rude front desk. She never even looked at us and mumbled the whole time. Small fridge on the floor of the room and no microwave. The staff basically acted as if you were a burden on them. We stayed at 8 different cities on this two week trip and I wish we would have skipped this one on the way back. The last place we stayed in Ft. Lauderdale was great."

The staff was exceptional for meeting the owner Richard to Sarah at the front desk to Marco who took care of the beach chairs and the towels, etc. the staff was phenomenal. The food was excellent. The amenities were perfect. It felt like we were not even in Florida like we read a resort somewhere tropical thank you for a wonderful stay."

"My room was dirty and shower didn’t drain, also had dirty linens upon arrival. This was a celebration for my 30th birthday and they still didn’t take care of the problem when sending maintenance and the cleaner for freshened room. Came back and just place clean bed linens on top of the dirty ones. I called they upgraded us and still had issues. This place is advertised as newly renovated and it was definitely not. The pool had a ring of black mold on the inside and cloudy water. Charged another...

"Dee Jay Beach resort is a great place to stay in Lauderdale by the Sea. Not only us it in a great location, our efficiency was comfortable and roomy. The owner was on site and attended to any needs we had. The backyard was a nice respite from the hectic travel and had a pool and lounge chairs to relax and rest. There was a shopping plaza a short distance away, which housed a super market, a diner, and so much more. A short drive, led us to a great area with lots of restaurants and shops. ...

"The room was good. Our bedroom door didn’t lock and most of the TVs couldn’t connect to the internet of the property. The outside was ok and there was construction during our visit."
