"Really enjoyed our 3 night stay at Guest House Douro! Amazing location, our room looked out on the river and Gaia but was still very quiet thanks to double paned windows. Staff were so friendly and helpful, made dinner reservations for us. Breakfast included a mountain of delicious tropical fruit, such a treat! Also yogurt, cheese, eggs, toast, granola and fantastic coffee. Just be aware that rooms are quite small—but cleverly designed to make the most of every inch. Highly recommend!"

"We had the one bedroom apartment right beside the main hotel . Was bright and clean over looking the cafes below . It can a little loud in the evening . ( Protip) Make sure your windows are latched shut to minimise noise) shower was excellent . The hotel was close to everything and I highly recommend . Bring a translator app for conversation with front desk. "
