"A quirky hotel - very old in parts plus newer extension. We had a spacious bedroom with 2 armchairs and a very comfortable bed. A modern bathroom, but with little shelf space to put toiletries or toothbrushes (a tumbler, perhaps?). Some complimentary toiletries provided. We booked to eat in the restaurant each night and were not disappointed with the quality or quantity of the dishes. Breakfast was cooked to order. "Perfect ‘treat’ break … lovely pub/hotel. The weather was superb too! Room was everything we would put on a wish list (it was a great price on our budget so didn’t get church tower & high st views) but everything so easily walkable. Lots cafes restaurants but chose hotel as vg menu choice on a Sunday night! Thanks to all staff who were extremely accommodating & friendly. We will def visit again. "

"The George hotel in Rye offers a charming stay with a central location and helpful staff. The comfortable beds and a delicious breakfast were definite highlights. Its bar is also great, boasting a fantastic atmosphere. However, our (entry level) room was a little on the small side. Despite the cozy quarters, the hotel provides a very pleasant and enjoyable experience."
