"Excellence Rivera Cancun is a beautiful resort with quiet outdoor areas to relax as well as swim up bar if you’re in the mood for a more social atmosphere. Fun daytime as well as evening activities. Friendly, accommodating staff. A fine selection of restaurants and bars. It was always easy to get a table, order food and top shelf drinks from the attentive waitstaff. The only downside was that the beachfront wasn’t very inviting in April due to algae which blows over the ocean from far away seasonally and ends up on Gulf of Mexico beach’s at that time of year. It would be worth the time to research and schedule a stay outside of that season. No matter if beach isn’t your thing, there’s plenty of pool space, lounge chairs, etc."

"The rooms were cleaned, staff were very helpful. I enjoyed the amenities of the hotel and the sister hotels near by. The food was okay ,average buffet style options. The pastries were my favorite of the trip! You can ever go wrong with open bar and drinks all morning till sun down."

"This is the best resort we have ever stayed at. The staff are extraordinarily friendly, the breakfast buffet is delicious and varied, there is world class snorkeling right off the resort's beach, and a gorgeous infinty pool and a tranquility pool to relax in. Staff wil deliver food and drinks anywhere you ask them to. Don't miss the delicious and creative cocktails at Le Cap, especially the frozen ones with local mezcal. This is the third time in three years we have visited, and we will go back again."

"This was our 4th stay in 12 months at The Westin. It's always been a favorite, but there was a noticeable difference in the helpfulness at the front desk this past trip. We encountered multiple difficulties and a lot of attitude. It was sad and disappointing as we are used to being treated like family. We had to ask for the room service menu, schedule, and robes for our room that typically are in there. The water in our bathroom was very smelly. The room service food was usually inedible. That being said, the staff in the 2 restaurants went above and beyond to greet us, to make special off menu food for us to accomodate us as vegetarians. They were always coming up with new options so we didn't get bored of the food. We love the snorkeling there and the beds more than anywhere else, but it is time to try other places."
