"Wilson Island is magical. It is simple luxury. Remote, untouched, but with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Nothing to do except swim, snorkel, read, enjoy the marine life and stare at the glorious views. I'll be back a third time."

"We recently spent 3 nights at Silky Oaks Lodge in early February 2024. We couldn't have asked for a better experience! The resort itself was gorgeous! We loved our bungalow and the view of the Mossman River. The staff was over the top friendly and accommodating. We arranged some day trips through the front desk, ABC Snorkeling to the Great Barrier Reef and Walk About Cultural Tours to explore the beach and the Mossman River Gorge. "We considered cancelling our trip due to having a car accident, called Wotif/the hotel manager to discuss and was verbally abused by the hotel manager then had all money drained from our credit card. Even though we had decided to attend because we paid for the accommodation, we were blocked by the hotel manager who wouldn’t take our calls. Currently dealing with the relevant ombudsman to put forward a formal complaint. Wouldn’t recommend this hotel or booking through Wotif. "

"Far enough to feel like you're alone in nature, close enough to Stanthorpe that it isn't a hassle to go out. Dinner meals were all fantastic. Sunday warm breakfast was great, sadly they don't do it every day. Room was clean. Saw Kangaroos and some lovey fish in the pond."

"Fantastic accommodation deep in the world’s oldest rainforest. 7 secluded cabins reached by boardwalks. Bathroom with a glass wall facing the forest. Comfortable, well kept rooms. Restaurant serving breakfast and dinner, nice food. Very nice staff. Cassowaries and feral pigs in the immediate vicinity. Frogs and toads croaking through the night. A truly magical place to be!"

"Great getaway in a nice villa with lush greenery. Villa is comfortable with nice setup and the bonus of a balcony and spa bath. Cleanliness in the wardrobe can be better and perhaps the brooms and dust pan can be stored away from the bathrobes."
